Thursday’s the day for the second annual Reluxe vintage sale to benefit the Fondation Le Chaînon.
Le Chaînon is a women’s shelter that has been in operation since 1932. It’s a remarkable organization in that there are no judgements and no conditions to help the women in need.
And having volunteered for the sale for the second year running, I can say there are some great deals to be had. Prices are gentle, for everyday items and labels, and for the designer goods, too – from Chanel, Gucci, Lancel, Louis Vuitton.
Donations came from Quebec celebs like Karine Vanasse and Penelope McQuade, as well as from scores of normal folk, myself included. Read about my closet cleanse and what I donated here. (Pucci top, Filippa K dress, Furla bag are among the items I hope will find a new home.)
Last year, Reluxe raised $18,000 for the shelter.
The sale is on from 5 p.m. Thursday at the Loews Hotel Vogue.
General admission at 6 p.m. is $20; $50 gets you admission at 5 for first pick. Get tickets here.
