We’re still flirting with dhotis, which the cool kids have adopted. (I personally wear nothing but in the summer, but do NOT consider myself a cool kid.)

Wiarton Willy might have seen his shadow, signalling six more weeks of winter, but spring has certainly sprung in the shops.
First, at Simons, there were dhotis, those wacky drop-crotch pants that fashion types have been promoting for several seasons already. In grey or black jersey, at $40, they actually seemed almost normal to me, a reasonable transition item, a cross between skirts and pants to wear as the streets turn to slush.
Trend was offset with classics, certainly at the Gap and Banana, but also at Simons and Zara. In particular, there were cardigans and V-necks everywhere in juicy colours: lime, coral, purple.
As for those dhotis, will they finally take hold in the mainstream this season? Who’s ready for them? I’d love to know what people think.
