At the Mercedes-Hugo Boss affair at Windsor Station, it was all about Hamilton – and the Boomerang photo booth – in a very polished atmosphere. Also, a lavish feast featuring the sweetest freshest snow crab and Tuck Shop-catered delicacies, including irresistible fries.

On Friday night, to get the blogger crowd prepped, the Meridien kicked off the evening with hair, makeup, lashes and spray tans on offer from Wonderblush. And speaking of tan, St. Tropez showed off its latest self-tanning marvels earlier in the week, just in time for the party scene and quite helpful given the cold, wet spring and the pasty shade of my legs.
On Saturday, the W Hotel hosted its Pit Stop beauty Lounge, with nails by Candy Bar, mini facials from Esthederm, hair and makeup by Wonderblush again, and makeup from Guerlain. (I was sporting dark circles under my eyes from the previous night’s festivities, and Audrey from Guerlain managed to freshen me up to look as if I had slept a solid nine hours. Funny, when you look better, you feel less exhausted.)

I can’t even count how many parties there were on the weekend, and no one person can get to them all. But every event, from the honky-tonk Crescent St. street fair to the ultra-swish, just-try-to-snag a ticket Ritz bash, was packed to the gills.

For Ashley Rosenberger, PR for the Williams-Martini F1 bash at the William Gray Hotel Saturday night, an overflow crowd was a situation. “At one point, they wouldn’t let Éric Salvail in,” said Rosenberger, who wore a red lace romper for the event. Of course, he did get in soon enough, and upstairs on the terrace, the view and the vibe was wonderful, she said.

Celebrities? For sure, including Salvail, Francisco Randez and Yanic Truesdale, among other vedettes, but no Lance Stroll, as he is just 18.

Marie-Annick Boisvert, PR for the W Pit Stop Lounge as well as a handful of official Formula 1 events, said there is no tough part to her job. “We provide pleasure.” Still the Pit Stop stations for makeup, facials and nails were fully booked by 4 p.m. – and the event ended at 7.
Each year, she hopes to grow the event. Planning starts in July.
Meanwhile, she’s off on holiday in two weeks.
