I must see Paris again soon. Just returned from the City of Light, where I viewed the Chanel and Gaultier haute-couture shows, shopped till I dropped and ate far too much rich food. I am exhausted and frustrated. Short of returning toute de suite to right my food and fashion faux pas, I’m off to Midnight in Paris, courtesy Woody Allen. Paris in the rain is lovely, on screen. This July, it rained a cold rain. The sky was grey, the streets were grey, and yes, it was lovely, but not the soft, romantic, glistening beauty of the silver screen ….
